Frank Barbato

With over 40 years of experience in software development, Frank Barbato specializes in harnessing AI to transform business operations. His focus is on embedding intelligent solutions into SaaS and custom platforms that create competitive advantages, improve decision-making, and streamline the work that runs every day inside a small business.

Frank founded Third Wave Technology in 2010, building it to over $8.5M in revenue over eight-plus years by delivering software platforms, cloud solutions, and custom integrations across a wide range of industries. Before that, he served as Chief Information Officer and SVP at Lydian Private Bank (VirtualBank), where he helped grow the institution from a startup to over $2 billion in assets and led more than $35 million in capital raises. As the bank's Chief Software Architect, he designed the core online banking platform, automated fraud verification systems, and the PhoneGuardian out-of-band authentication system — a security innovation ahead of its time.

Earlier in his career, Frank solely designed and developed Landtech for Windows, the most widely adopted real estate settlement system in the United States — a product that continues generating millions in revenue decades after its release.

Today, Frank is building Aigenta to give small service businesses the same AI-powered capabilities that were once reserved for enterprises with large IT budgets. The idea is straightforward: a plumber or HVAC tech shouldn't have to choose between doing the job and answering the phone.

Frank is an active venture mentor and trainer at theVMT.org, advising startups on technology strategy, AI integration, and building products that last. He is also a former board member of the Palm Beach Tech Organization.
